More Depth

Describe yourself (personality/attitude/passions/beliefs):

Health professional who is open about her
spiritual path and committed to helping
others find their bliss. Grounded soul who is
living a green and organic lifestyle. Holistic being
into reiki, meditation, nvc, liberal politically,
artistic, volunteers locally and connected to
walking a path to create a better community.
I can only send hellos so if you want to connect more than that...I guess one of us will have to join. Yep.

Describe the type of person you'd like to meet:

Someone who is speaking, walking, creating, being their truth in life. I am looking for a being who is creating the change that he wants to see in life. Green, into organics, healthy eating, into off the grid ideas and interested in thinking outside the box for a solution.

What do you like to do for fun/activities?

I like to spin and weave, prefer wool and silk, but cotton will do in a pinch. I like to create prayer shawls for people. I create chakra shields to help people work on their spirit and being.

If I am doing things with others I love to hike, bike, walking in the water (one of my favorites!), drum, cook great food, listen to jazz, blues, bluegrass, and new age music. Really I like just about everything except country and rap.

I am active with my spiritual pursuits and help others open the doors to their spiritual path (and yes, I consider that fun!)

How long and what motivated you to be on a conscious path?

I have been on the conscious path since I was a child, and I have created an environment for my children and friends that allow for working the spirit with the here and now. Incorporating native American, Jewish, and Buddhist I look at life from a different perspective and enjoy life's lessons.

What types of healing modalities do you practice or would you like to learn?

I am a Reiki practitioner. In addition, I practice Qigong daily, yoga, NVC, meditation, use essential oils, use acupuncture, and eat organically. I am also interested in ayurvedic medicine (but I don't know enough about it). I am open to learning more about the spirit and what creates the bliss in each individual.

What is the top priority in your life right now?

Aside from my children, I enjoy taking trips out and about. My job allows me 5 days a week off and I would rather fill my cup with experiences rather than objects. I hope to create a full holistic perspective/ practice with my LSW, RN, RP, and Shamanic walk to help people create their own bliss.

What type of travel do you enjoy?

I do get to travel in the local states around my current location, but I would love to go out of the us. I do enjoy hiking, creeking, and short day trips. My job allows me 5 days off a week so once a month my kids and I travel and we love it. I want a partner in my life who also enjoys traveling and helping people. I am not about collecting things, I am about collecting memories, experiences, and with them comes stories.

What types of books/authors do you enjoy and why?

I have been reading Lynn Andrews as of late. She speaks to me on an elemental level. I also enjoy Redfield (even though he is over read by the masses, still he is good). I read Ted Andrews, because he is fun and when I want to be reminded why the wolf spider has yet again invaded one of my ritual bowls I need only to look it up in one of his books). For light and silly I like Douglas Adams and anything written by Heinlein or Wells. A good Tolkien when I have the time is also nice. So a run a gamete of the sci fi to the mutant message of old. (lately I have been reading medical books, which are not so light and take a bit more perusal to get thru)

Do you support any charitable organizations?

I volunteer with a local hospice. I also spin and knit six prayer shawls a year for people on hospice. Its my way of giving back. I often volunteer as an RP in nursing homes and plan on teaching kids how to use Reiki to keep their power. I teach reiki for free in the community.I could do more and intend to.
