My best friends describe me as emotionally intelligent, politically active, caring about people and making the world a better place. I like to be active and engaged, physically, mentally, creatively, and spiritually. I'm up for adventures, connected to nature, and have a great sense of humor. I like to hike, bike, do photography, write poetry, go to hot springs, and prepare vegan and raw foods.

I work for a progressive nonprofit organization that brings alternative perspectives and solutions for crucial, social, environmental, and economic inequality issues. It is important to me to feel like my work is making the world a better place. I also have done some freelance journalism and photography (see bkshots.com).

Hiking, biking, photography, cross country skiing, sand volleyball, softball, scrabble, trivia, bowling, movies, poetry readings, music, drum circles, yoga, meditation, kirtans, progressive activism, moonlit walks, hot springs, and more.... I don't like to spend a lot of time on online dating sites but OK, you will C me on other sites.

My dietary choices (organic, vegan, minimally processed food), my transportation choices (biking used bikes, driving used electric car), and doing my best to follow the ethic of 1st reduce consumption, 2nd buy used items whenever possible, 3rd compost as much as I can, 4th recycle as a last resort, and my decision not to have children are all a part of my commitment to being environmentally conscious.

I don't have any pets now, but I am an animal lover. My last pet was a cat named Noam, and I lived with a cat named Jake. Dogs, cats, and other animals tend to like me. :-)
